Mount Allan
- Canadian Rockies

The summer was getting old, and so, it was nice to once again reaffirm the belief that all was well in the soul. To get out when the world is crazy, this is good.
I set off for the summit of Mt. Allan
on that fateful day and found myself enjoying a fantastic trail to this worthy summit. On the way up I stopped for a bite to eat and as always I shared some of my Punjab mix and a few sardines. The Punjab was
my latest food craze. It's tasty stuff but I have since discontinued
its use. Too salty, too glycemic.
Higher up the
mountain is a brief bit of scrambling, this is where I took off. I
had a load of nervous energy that day, and I was in a speedy mode.
Someone made some comment about "don't have a heart attack" or
something, but I had to flail myself on the mountain, furthering my
exhaustion.
I've been eating
a bit more fish and eggs just incase a lack of long chained fats
in my new vegetarian diet had something to do my moodiness that
fall, but I think it's a combination of factors. (911) and maybe
I had too much fun. The mountains really put a spark in your
life.
oth abundance and lack exist
simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always
our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend... when we
choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are
grateful for the abundance that's present -- love, health,
family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits
that bring us pleasure -- the wasteland of illusion falls away
and we experience Heaven on earth.

American Author
t is in these acts called
trivialities that the seeds of joy are forever wasted, until men
and women look round with haggard faces at the devastation their
own waste has made, and say, the earth bears no harvest of
sweetness -- calling their denial knowledge.
George Eliot
1819-1880, British Novelist
Anyways, here are some
more photos for you to enjoy.
Bye for now and happy
scrambling folks.

ou must not lose faith in
humanity.
Humanity
is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are
dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.

am prejudiced in favor of him who, without impudence, can ask boldly. He has
faith in humanity, and faith in himself. No one who is not accustomed to giving
grandly can ask nobly and with boldness.

the space budget really restores my faith in
humanity. It eliminates dreams,
goals, and ideals and lets us get straight to the business of hate, debauchery,
and self-annihilation.
