search engine has a submit page you can enter information about your site and
the spider will be scheduled to visit your site. I am only
concerned with those search engines considered to be major players on the
internet:

Look Smart and The Open Directory:
One-time fee of $750 for these two directories.
The Open Directory
powers the top listings for AOL and NetScape.
The
cost of directory listings can be amortized over many years
of beneficial traffic to your Web site.
LookSmart powers the directories
for:
- MSN
- Excite
- Alta Vista
- Juno
- Iwon
- CNN
Yahoo:
One-time fee of $1500 for
this directory.
Only 28% of submitted sites are accepted into Yahoo, I do it right the first time and know the
Yahoo rules.
These are
the most popular search engines and directories on the Internet. They are
responsible for at least 95% of the visitors your site will have.
How do you go about submitting to the
search engines Tim?
I use automated tools for the
majority of my submissions, with the exception of those directories and engines
listed above. For those, I find it is best to submit manually.
How much will your services cost me?
Unlike other promotion services,
I don't charge for top placements. My services are $80.00/hr
with the exception
of the directories/engines listed above.
