Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies
My Second List of Summits

This next set of fifty peaks started with scrambles at a time in my life when I was at a boundary. I now know there are noble pursuits in life outside academic circles or raising a family that are worthy of an individuals passion and effort.

Let me make this abundantly clear. I love Canada's mountains.

Below is the start of my next list of fifty mountains in the Canadian Rockies that I have scrambled. Please click on each mountain to read a story.

he dreamer whose dreams are non-utilitarian has no place in this world. In this world the poet is anathema, the thinker a fool, the artist an escapist, the man of vision a criminal.

Henry Miller
1891-1980, American Author

thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness; but still will keep a bower quiet for us, and a sleep full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing...

John Keats
